  • Our Care Team

E Care Community takes great pride in offering our clients the highest possible standard of service. To do this we employ only the very best and most skilled staff who are 100% dedicated to helping you remain independent and safe in your own home.

We believe in an enabling approach to care. This means that we always recruit carers who acknowledge the importance of supporting & encouraging our clients to do as much for themselves as they are able and make as many decisions for themselves as possible, rather than simply doing everything for them. We believe that this gives a sense of control back to our clients and improves their quality of life.

We have a rigorous recruitment selection process whereby all staff are carefully interviewed, referenced and (DBS) police checked and we handpick only the most responsible and qualified carers to work for E Care Community.

All our carers undergo intensive and comprehensive training and are regularly supervised by our skilled team of care managers and supervisors to ensure that their work is of the highest standard.
All our staff must complete a mandatory training programme before starting to work for us, the training programme includes:

  • Variety of subjects related to care eg communication skills, promoting independence, security in the home, adult protection, dementia care, etc.
  • A shadow period working alongside and being assessed by our senior care staff.
  • Training in Health and safety, Fire safety, First Aid and Food Hygiene.
  • Medication training and competency assessment.
  • Practical training in Moving & Handling techniques.
  • Catheter care and Infection Control Training.

We substantially offer ongoing investment in our staff by encouraging them to undertake further training and professional development. We offer all our staff opportunities to progress within the organisation with the support of NVQ training and qualifications and further specific short courses such as end of life care, autism awareness etc.

Our care managers are available at all times 24 hours a day 7 days a week for advice and support to ensure that we provide the highest quality of care for you.
